Support Forums Starting To Pick Up Nicely

I know we have some LQP here from HF members getting the SF award but you have to take the good with the bad. I know we retain some of those members as quality members and it's fairly easy to ignore the LQP. I do not give the award to LQP members either. If you think I'll accept 100 "thatnks bro that's great" posts you're wrong and you'll find that out quickly.

To be honest, I saw someone suggest a "Writing" section on HF, and saw that it was declined and someone said it was on Support Forums, so I came here to check it out. It's awesome. Lol.

See...you can get quality members from HF.

No kidding, Omniscient. I've been noticing a lot of LQP marathons lately. Random people will join and have 45 posts within the hour. LQP's, resurrecting ancient threads, posting complete nonsense, etc. It's ridiculous.

Well, I'm not gonna lie, I've posted a crap-load in the past two or three days, but that's just because I want to become more active in these forums. I always try to make my posts "high quality." If my posts do seem a bit "spam-ish" please tell me and I'll try to improve.

Yes there are quite a lot of Low Quality Posts. Every member posts low quality. I know my last...30 or so to get to 1k were all low quality lol. Things happen, but if the member is contributing with a majority of their posts being quality I nee no problem in them getting that silly little feather thing, it's just because people inevitably want to measure their epeens. When the site first launched we had a lot of low quality as well. Why? Because that's what people do trying to fill the DB quickly and generate some activity. It's the same thing here, the forum is still less than a year old, forums take time to build, all y'all's little shrine (HF) wasn't built in 10months.

But let's consider the type of LQP we have here. It's normally just short responses versus 4chan style spam. I'd prefer our short responses to the 4chan LQP anyday of the week. That stuff is viral and only contributes to the downturn of site quality.

Thats mostly because they come from HF and want the award.

Let's also point out that the LQP is reported and removed quickly, offenders are stopped and dealt with effectively so it doesn't occur again. Threads/posts are removed and/or locked and most members will never even notice it happened.
