Firefox wont start but its been working fine before today

Hi all

All of a sudden firefox wont start in XP, all that happens is that a blank box appears in the start bar with the firefox icon and thats where it sits. I cant close it or even see it in the tast manager, it just stays stuck there.

I've removed it and reinstalled it and the problem persists.

Please can someone help me, I lost without firefox,

Did you completely remove all files, including the folder in Program Files?

Are all other programs still working correctly on your computer?
