Hi.
I have a computer with an internal 111gb harddrive, and it takes XP like, literally, two hours to install on it. Whereas Linux Mint (or Ubuntu) only takes 20-30mins. What's the deal?

Yea, when you talk about a Linux system, you have to understand that they are VERY light on resources and dont take much to install and run them...

Are you using a legit disk?
Come on guys, Windows doesn't suck, it's the people that use Windows that suck - they get one virus and blame Microsoft. So be it Linux may be better for certain things but you can always fall back on to XP.
Why is it running slow? No idea, are you not over exagerating? It normally takes 1 hour max.
Is it because your hardware is slow? No, not unless your running a Pentium 1, 60MHz. I've install XP SP3 PRO on Pentium 2 and 3's (300MHz - 500MHz) PC's manny a time and it installed just as fast as my dual core, 4gb RAM Machine.
