GeeMail - Standalone Gmail client.
#1
Hey guys.
GeeMail is a Gmail client written in Adobe AIR. This is the first Adobe AIR application I have ever used, and it's pleasantly surprising, though I think that can be accredited to the developers and not the language  If you use Gmail, this is a must have.

Pretty cool but what's really the purpose of having it instead of logging in from your browser.

Some people prefer standalone clients, 'cause programs can be more user friendly than a website when there's so many tasks that can be done on a site like Gmail. When I would use Hotmail, I used Windows Live Mail, and it made reading and sending mail a lot easier. Gmail is more optimal than Hotmail.com, but still, some might prefer Gmail. Also, you'd be able to check your past e-mails when your Internet is down.

Sounds good. I'm happy with my online client, but I will keep this in mind for sure.

Nah. To be honest, that'd be like asking, "Do you know where to download C++ applications?" I'll google around a bit, though. The thing about it being written in Adobe AIR is that it's cross-platform compatible. It works on Linux, Mac OSX, and Windows.

EDIT: Here're some websites advertising Adobe AIR apps ->
