HJT Questions...
#11
I know what you mean. It also helps that I build my computer myself, so I pretty much know everything about it.

What about entries that say missing file like this?
Code:
O23 - Service:@%systemroot%\system32\spoolsv.exe,-1 (Spooler) - Unknown owner - C:\Windows\System32\spoolsv.exe (file missing)
I know that spoolsv.exe is not a virus.

Thanks

Listen up. For the '(no name)' entries, you should only have the O2 BHO and O9 objects removed. Everything else should be left. And also, it must be in the following structure: '(no name) - {02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - (no file)' - if there's anything more than that, leave it.

For O23 - Service:@%systemroot%\system32\spoolsv.exe,-1 (Spooler) - Unknown owner - C:\Windows\System32\spoolsv.exe (file missing), you would leave it, because firstly, it's an O23, but more importantly, it's a system file we're dealing with. Notice there's more to it than just (no name) - {02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - (no file).

Do you understand?

Yes, thank you Malware for explaining. So I'll be deleting:
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - (no file)
and
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5C255C8A-E604-49b4-9D64-90988571CECB} - (no file)
correct?

I suggest you run CCleaner.exe and see if it removes it first. CCleaner is a great program which should be used in conjuction with HJT imho.
Superman I am here to rescue you.

CCleaner doesn't fix viruses in any sense at all. It pretty much just cleans your computer's unwanted registry, browser, and temp files/recent file lists (also known as MRUs). However, I do agree that it should be used quite often as it'll make your computer fast. ATF Cleaner also works well.
