Trying to install OSX on a PC.
#1
Ok, I know that sounds stupid. But apparently it can be done.
I have the OSX Disc etc.

When I load it on my computer all it says is "You need to reboot."
Here's a pic of what I mean:

Has anyone attempted + succeded with this? I'm kinda desperate to install someone half decent on my new laptop by Friday.

Well you want to make a hackintosh I am guessing. That is something you can do, normally a PC uses a different file system that MacOS uses. So you have to work your way around that. Here on this site http://www.hackintosh.com/ there are some guides you can follow to install MacOS on a PC. Smile Hope it helps.

I'd be careful about it. A buddy of mine did that and it wont let him install anything on it anymore he ended up using his external for os and his laptop as storage. Hope it works better for you then him.

It's not the FS that's the issue.

Kalyway? Smile What does that do? Smile And well MacOS does use a different FS so it would not work on NTFS formatted drive. At least it did not work for me. ;)

Kalyway is a program to install Mac on a intel based PC. I'll post the article later. And with the NTFS format, ofcrouse not lol. You have to reformat it to Mac.

I successfully installed the Mac OS on my PC. I used the iAtkos distro.

Post your Computer Specifications so I can see if your Computer is compatible or not.

Also check out these sites, they've helped me a lot:
