Truck... worth it?

I was thinking about getting a Ford. Mainly because where I live it's pretty damn dangerous on the highway, and when I get my license I'd like to feel safe in a truck other than a car.

But, is it worth it? A car is better on gas, and trucks are insanely bad on it.

I would have to say get a Chevy. I HATE Fords.

If you have money for gas- get the truck.
If you don't, get older Toyota. Honda is as good as Toyota but older models tend to rust easily.

If you really want a truck get a diesel. Good choice imo.

Trucks are good. Trucks can be better on gas also., Depends on what you get.

I do know where your coming from "safe" on the highway. I like big industrial trucks like this.

the only reason why I like trucks like that is because there big/heavy so therefore if someone hits you. Your less likey to feel it like them.

Yeah diesel engines are very good, you pay more for the car but you save on gas and can make more miles.

I reckon if your worried about the money it's probably best to invest in a motorized scooter, if your not then a truck would be fine.
