Can i have a straight answer on how to use msg command
#1
Ive spent a few weeks going back and forward to this command. For those who dont know msg is the new net send.

I cant get it working at all. Not at home or at school.

For school I use the following command:

msg /serverBig GrinETNSW.WIN SA4335675

Then it comes up with Enter message to send; end message by press ctrl-z on a new line, then ENTER.

Now I just realized that doesn't work at all because I tried it at home and it still comes up with that.

For Home I tried:

msg /server:WORKGROUP Study2-PC

Same thing happens. I think that just sets up a server or something instead of connecting to it. So how do I connect to the network and send messages though it on windows 7. I have been able to send messages to myself with following command:

msg * "hello"

But no one else on the network gets it. I'm confused please help, I have asked on other forums and gotten no help.

Ill just grab my laptop and check to see if it works.
It just says it doesn't exist or is disconnected. Though I'm able to ping my desktop.
