Pointless spamming in the welcome mat?

Well post count doesn't really matter.
I have a low post count but I've been here a long time.
I agree that people who joined and the same day are welcoming members is a bit odd, but post count doesn't increase in welcome mat so it just makes them look stupid.

I can kinda see where that may be an issue. But some people are just on a mental level that they believe that they should follow the directions on the box ( In this case it's the directions to the intro) and copy and paste it, then they just put there name and stuff about them. Or they are not creative and just don't feel like typing that much.
