Laptop Screen Keeps Powering off

Ok i put windows xp on my laptop, evrything was fine, it needed updating with drivers for sound etc..

But anyways the laptop run fine very fast, now after its come back from the pc shop, the screen powers of after like 30min or so, the power stays on but its just the screen that goes of can anyone tell me how to fix this issue,

Your monitor might be defective. What type of laptop is it? Does it have a warranty?

This usually just means that your screen saver is turning on. I dunno. this isn't my area of expertise.

1- Does it have warranty?
If it does, I would recommend calling there technical line. Might be a Glitch/Defect.
2- Have you damaged the computer in anyway?
If so, you may have to get a new screen / Whatever part(s) is/are damaged.
3- Try a New OS
I recommend Windows 7, or, Ubuntu / Redhat. If the problem Persists after those,
your going to need to get it look at by professionals. Go to more then one computer shop,
but god forbid the geek squad.

I asked a GS member about 4 months ago in the store where the Routers were.





He assumed I meant the, and I quote, " Big metal thing that turns on the Computer ".

Ok i have found the problem, its my graphics driver, im still using the same one "Intel® Graphics Media Accelarator Driver For Mobile" its makin the screen turn of every now and again its deffo this problem cause when i removed the driver the laptop stays on no problem, here is my new problem, once this is sorted ill be happy as larry lol

Ok my laptop is Advent 5431, Windows Xp, I cannot use the following driver since is causes me problems "Intel® Graphics Media Accelarator Driver For Mobile"

Any ideas on what i can use?? Any help would be absaloute awsome, becuase with out driver it makes things look crappy dull and blurry with big resoloution.
