Can't Connect To The Internet

I cannot connect to the internet on my home computer. I have a wireless USB adapter that connects into my PC however I go to connection settings and it won't allow me to scan for a network to connect to.

I've tried everything including trying to install the disc for the adapter and it still doesn't work.

Try un-installing the driver. Then re-installing. Maybe run CCleaner in between un-installation and re-instalation.
