I missed that word "other" in there, although what other impact do you need? That's about the only impact anything in the gaming world has had; inspiration for future gaming technology. PS1 itself didn't influence the gaming world for the console that it was for technological advancing, however it did affect PS2, which eventually lead to the PS3. And that comparatively is the role that Kinect will follow for this new concept of gaming. That's the way I see it.
All I've said is that the Kinect & Move, as it is, aren't very good, and aren't worth the money. I understand the concept behind them, and the influence they will have on future products, but that's like absolutely everything in this world... You can see influences where ever you look. I don't think the main idea of the Kinect is what will become a big hit one day, but I do believe that some ideas based on the Kinect, will be taken, and put into use with future gaming products, whether it's the design of it, the hardware side of it, the interactive side of it, or whatever.
You must have misunderstood what I've been trying to say because you seem to disagree with me agreeing with you, which is causing me some confusion.
To summarise, the Kinect & Move products as they are right now, aren't worth buying (in my opinion), however I do think they will influence further development of future gaming products.
