RuneMoz RuneScape Forums

I (Excalibur) have been working on my own RuneScape forum for the past month's, and I must say that it has been working pretty well. We have been getting a good ammount of hits to our website, And people are joining the site everyday. We have almost 1000 posts on our website, so its nice to see that users like our site, and that they are posting on it.

We are a RuneScape focussed community that also has room for non related RuneScape discussions. You can signup and view our forums here:

RuneMoz RuneScape Community

We hope you like the website, so please let me know what you think about it. If there are any problems I'd like to hear them from you!

Way too many forums to begin with. That's what i'll start with and hopefully you can come up with a solution Smile

Everyone makes this mistake at first though.

Yeah I just added these sections yesterday, so thats why there aren't many posts in them for now. I will however post in every section, just need to get a legend so users can see all the groups we have.

I'm not talking about the post count or the thread count however, for the number of members you have currently, your forum area to member ratio is too out of balance. You need to reduce the number of forums you have. That's my advice to you, if you choose to follow it or not. But I have seen the downsides to doing that many times over.

There are far to many runescape communites at the moment! I gotta say I like the logo though, you need a better theme!

I would still say you've got a load of forums for starting out. You only removed 1 forum?

You should be starting at around 10-15 forums at the most in my opinion. The activity will benefit from doing that. It doesn't work the way most people assume it does. More forums discourage activity and discussion.

Put it this way, you have 10 people. If you have 10 rooms, and evenly distribute everyone, how active do you think it will be there? Now if you only had 5 rooms, and still the same 10 people?

Found place to remove 2 other sections of the forums that were either double, or not active. Tell me if this is good, or if you think I should delete more

You still have way way way too many sections... You need less than half of what you currently have...
It's a Runescape forum so start off with only Runescape based sections.

Go for:
Announcements
Feedback & Suggestions
Introductions

And then the 8 sections below the Runescape category. Remove the rest.

Well the purpose of creating these sections was that we could expand the forums, so we also appeal to Non runescape posters. I will keep them on there for now, as enough content is posted there, and we will see how it go's.
