He has a point though. Why would you sign up on another forum to ask why a different forum is down? Use downcheck, or contact the admin via email. Check the twitter site if needed, check your hosts and blocked sites list in your AV and your browser.
How do you think other people survive when there is ONLY one forum to go to for their downtime? (the one forum being the one that is down).
Use your heads, it's not that difficult to refrain from posting an HF thread here. They get locked and closed anyway, and what good do they do in the end? You only get reassurance that the site will be back up soon just like every other time it goes down.

Was there really a need for a thread? We have adequate staff to handle this. If the people want to troll seeing this thread won't help them. Instead report their posts.

Regardless guys, this thread was made for purpose and as to RCDA: people make threads about the most ridiculous things compared to this so really...:p
This is simply a reminder to get less of those threads... We shall see results.

I understand why some SF members are angry over HF members coming over here, but you all have to understand that the expansion of SF is good for all of us. This forum needs to generate new registrations some how, and I can name many TOP users here who were referred through HackForums. Omniscient is smart to market his smaller brand when his top website is undergoing maintenance, as he is simply promoting other ventures. I think we should give him a break as he is only looking out for the growth of both his profession and this website.
With that being said, I can totally understand the frustration over HF-related threads during downtime. A good suggestion would be for Omni to make more HF members aware of his twitter account, so that he can give updates there. With that being said, it's important to keep in mind that the exponential growth of this forum relies heavily on the loyal HackForums member base; whether we like it or not.
One day, your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it's worth watching.
