True, and you don't have to worry about the low quality posts; The bad part is that those posts stay on the forum, but the positive side is that the users who spam usually end up being banned and don't receive the award.

If they spam, they don't deserve the award and even less to be here actually, so the only better option is to just get banned. Also, about the posts you're talking about, if they are so useless.. I believe that's why there's an option to report it, and it will end up being deleted eventually.

No they don't get deleted, only around 5% of them get moved to a Junk area of the forum that only higher ranked members are able to view such as staff and admin.

In that case what happens after they are reported and marked as useless ?
They just stay without any action to be taken ?

They stay, but if the person is deemed or considered to be a spammer, then they get a ban for a period of time

Oh, ye. I already see some known HF usernames to be banned for spamming because of the award.

There are so much people posting these DreamTemplate giveaways on HF with a lot lower requirements, so I don't think that it's reasonable to post 250+ posts requirement here on SF. Also, the so called "spammers" are helping this forum somehow because of the award.
