I think it's just to filter spam, like if you post something shirt, then you have to enter the code? I'm not sure though.

Maybe. But it's still annoying. I wonder if its actually done what it was supposed to do to someone who was actually spamming.

There's no need for people to use a VPN on SF really, lol I don't use one and I still get that annoying web page. I hate it.
