They may know lots of people, but "real friends" seem harder to come by in today's society. I know quite a few people, but I only have maybe 3 or 4 really good friends out of the bunch that I can count on.

"Real friends"? There is no such thing and if you find one, you're very lucky. I'm actually very similar to you, but I don't care. I have friends on the internet that I trust more than real life. I had a Facebook, but all of them were people from my High School that I really didn't like anyways. I deleted my Facebook due to the fact no one taked to me, unless they wanted something. I find social networking to be very pointless as it is just an item to keep people connected who cause drama anyways, it is the next Myspace. As for friends, don't worry about it man. You have 100 golden years to find friends, stop worrying about it and try your best to go forward in life. Friends will come and go, it happens to everyone. When you find a "real friend" make sure to stick with that person as long as posibble. They're out there, but are sure hard to find.
