I prefer Linux over windows XP and vista.

I love Pardus linux, its KDE not gnome but I find it way better since the GUI update on gnome, the games are OK wish they had a bit more and wish 3rd party devs like WoW would start developing games for linux.

You probably want to use a Debian variant, like Ubuntu, or an Ubuntu spinoff, like ElementaryOS.
