It's a smaller server than DALnet so nicknames should be more available, but i'm pretty sure until Omni comes to this thread and decides on the real chat idea that it's not a go. And I've seen how willing he is to accept the idea of a chat, as i'm the same.

You could just add people on proper IM clients, rather than embed one on the forums. I personally don't like them; they attract spam, etc.

Besides, wouldn't it lower the thread rate? I mean, people will just be asking questing there and the forums would look dead.
Someone with no history is nothing but suspicious.

I know for a fact Omniscient will decline any sort of chat box or IM feature on the forum. Ultimately it discourages from posting and looks ugly.

AIM sucks.. I don't like any of the messengers, Yahoo is the worst, and MSN is ok. Use the IRC channel I created instead.
