I would recommend getting Office for Mac, especially if you are a student.

Also Final Cut if you are into editing films.

I just switched to a MacBook Pro a few months ago too and have yet to regret my decision.

I say almost because there are some I would disagree with like AppDelete which is shareware when there's a perfectly good freeware equivalent, AppCleaner.
