I have vista on my laptop - it's horrid. It eats ram and cpu and it's so slow. Terrible for gaming. I tried to downgrade to XP but couldn't find my discs.

Vista was a complete failure, Microsoft just wanted to push something out to keep up with Apple's OSX..

You're mistaken. Vista and Windows 7 both use a new Kernel. Where as XP uses a kernel based from win 2k/ME/98.

The kernel change was reason for the new mass amounts of RAM/CPU/Compatibility issues.

I'm on vista right now and it's disgusting. So freakin slow and lots of issues. I need to upgrade to 7.

I used Vista on my Grandmas old laptop for maybe 2 hours and then upgraded.
I will NEVER use it again.
That OS is one of the most buggy, glitchy, all around piece of crap OS' I have EVER seen. Hell, it even beats Windows Original! lol

The funny thing is that Vista wasn't supposed to be released to the public anyways. From what I have heard it was actually a Windows 7 Beta and they accidentally leaked it. I don't think many people liked it Tongue

I don't know but it works great on my side.
I have been using Vista for more than 3 years on this 2GB RAM Core2Duo laptop and everything goes fine.
We even have Microsoft 2007 and Adobe CS3 Collection.

I used to think that vista was really good. I didn't understand why everyone said it was such a bad thing. I didn't mind it at all. This was before I had been exposed to windows seven. Once I was exposed to windows seven I realized why it was such a bad operating system. haha
