You know what can I just reformat my computer than do all of this?
Because I wanted to reformat anyways since my laptop sucks.

Yes, you have that option. You can go through this process (which does not actually take that long) if you have data you wish to retain. If you decide to do a reformat, which will require you to backup your files (required time is then undefined), I would recommend a clean install.
