For something to grow, there must be space for it to grow inside of..

It's a tough question, and one that will most likely never be answered.
I don't have an answer simply because it's absolutely impossible to say... It would be impossible for the universe to have an end, because nothing just ends... For example, if there was a brick wall at the end of the universe, there has to be something on the other side of that wall..
Then again, it's impossible for something to never end... Everything must come to an end at some point right?
I think JDBar's post was quite a good theory, although for it to be true, it would mean the universe would have to have some kind of space around it... Which wouldn't make sense.

I thought the video was an awful representation. I'm pretty sure that you can't just fly outside the universe to a different one in 3D space. I don't think there would be navigable space between universes, merely emptiness in our infinite bubble. Of course, that theory relies on the existence of a 4th spacial dimension which is extremely difficult to comprehend naturally.
