Free or paid? Huge difference between the 2.
Free? Well the answer is simple. No forum can run in a decent fashion free. IMHO. Paid? Well there are many. Hostgator has been good to me (thanks Omni)

I second Solidus' comment, I remember him recommending this to someone else before and I used them, very impressed.

One.com
Fantastic hosting. 99.9% uptime, extremely cheap (£9.99 per year) and the most fantastic 24/7 live chat support that I have ever come across.

If you're looking for a paid host, i recommend vidahost.com you can also use the code "mcompute" for a further 10% off
