Well i was trolling the Microsoft website, because i like to see what all Microsoft has came up with. Might work for them once i go through college depending on exactly what i do. anyways...
i found this. - http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/
I would like to know what users know about this, and think of it.
No i do not plan on using it, Nod32 has never done me wrong.

I've read some reviews from sites like CNet and apparently it's high quality stuff but nothing special.
I haven't tried it yet but I suppose I will now.

Using it now, actually. It's pretty low on resources, I like it.
Gonna uninstall avast! for now, I might change my mind. I'll test it on some "FUD" trojans I have, I'll let you know how it turns out.

Okay, so yeah it detected everything I threw at it, and as I said, it uses VERY little resources. (less than avast!)
This type of AV is meant for experienced users. It doesn't have a firewall, doesn't notify you of phishing sites, have a sandboxing feature or anything like that. It finds and deletes malware, which is all I need. Also, it has a pretty GUI. I think I'm going to keep using it, actually.

Sounds good. I currently use nod32, and mainly because it uses a firewall, and protects against all the good stuff. ill look more into this. thanks.

Wow! Detects FUDs? I will check this out when I'm back on my own computer. Sounds very interesting.

It didn't detect my FUD keylogger. However, it's very awesome still. Very low on resources as MreGSX said. I am using it as opposed to avast now
