Bz Forums
#1
Hey I just made the forum http://www.bzforums.co.cc/forum after being scammed by ImAlovelyboy out of my .info domain.

I haven't done much work on it yet but I plan (me and my cousin) for it to be solely based on Technology.

As you can see I've copied the IPB theme because we don't have actual IPB.

Some reviews would be great Big Grin (or members is even better Tongue)

I don't really sign up to free domains like that. For me, as a personal thing, it usually means that it's not a serious forum, and lots of the time they get deleted due to lack of caring. I'm not being judgmental though on anything for your forum. It's just something I don't do in general because of that one reason.

I'm the same way as you are.

We're working on getting an IPB license for 5 domains and a co.cc domain.

If I can get some free hosting and a cheap domain then I'll switch, I don't see why you need a sticking domain and license immediately, it's not like you're getting anywhere in a week.

Changed to > http://www.bzforums.co.cc/forum

That's true, if it wasn't a forum that needed a mysql database too, I usually make all of my websites off files from my computer that act as a ftp server on my hard drive lol. I don't need to be paying for hosting while it's still in development until I finish the website or get it close Smile

Yours is fairly professional looking though, so that's the positive there.

Don't understand the first part of that,m but whatever Thumbsup

On a side note, look who's OP...http://www.hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=913655

Keep arguing ;)

The first part of that means that you don't really run a MySql database from your computer for a website. Your host will give you the number of MySql databases that it will allow. So you can't really run a forum from your computer since you need to set one up to keep track of all the data, such as user registrations and posts. FTP is just a file transfer protocol, which allows you to keep a directory of the files that are displayed or used on your website. If you run that directory from your localhost, it's basically the same thing, except they aren't going to a domain.

Second, this isn't the place to refer anything about HF, and you didn't understand, as you were the OP asking about an issue you had. -rep doesn't come without a cause..

I think you should lookup about MySQL and ftp then before you try making any changes to the site. thats very basic knowledge if you don't know how to apply it to your forum. Other then that, it looks like a good site, but it's just the forum itself which looks a little too plain in my opinion
