i was wondering how Secure a live cd like ubuntu would be, to avoid someone to find out what the number of my credit card is or password to home bank of it's called in english..
would it be safe against key loggers and other malware?

I dont know of many if any keyloggers for linux anyway.
The only real difference between live and installed is live runs entirely in your ram.
That said in theory you could still infect your hard disks while running live if they have the correct permissions of course.
As for your passwords and cc info. Well you wont be saving it on your system which is good but you still have to put it into the form or whatever so that would be your security risk there i would assume. phishing comes to mind obviously.
But lets face it. Your talking about linux and thats a far safer os than windows for example out of the box.
However to run a live cd just to do such things is silly. They take far too long to load and if you dont have a good amount of ram you will have a slow system.
Live is only really there to test or install off IMHO.

As far as I know, every little thing you changed on a live cd will be lost. It does not save your setting and neither will it save your info or data. Installing on a usb stick is different though.
