I have a Macbook pro and I never had any problem with it at all. Even though there are viruses for Mac, I don't have any AV, malware, firewall or any other protection on it. Because PC is most used and common today, there are many exploits that Microsoft have to frequently patch compares to Apple. It also depends what you also do that might put your computer at risk. Prevention is the best security. If you don't do anything risky, your computer would be safe.
