One small thing I've noticed, is that when you reply to a thread, it seems to be set at 'Do not subscribe to this thread', by default,
where at HF, it seems to be set at 'Subscribe without receiving email notification of new replies', by default.

So, I guess if you are not paying attention, then it may be possible to reply to a thread, not noticing you haven't subscribed to it
and then if you can't remember which thread it was, you would have to search through all the threads looking for the one you want to check on.

I usually do check that it is set at 'subscribe without receiving...' etc,
but thought it worth mentioning.
