Changing postbit horizontal to classic/vertical

I tried changing from horizontal to classic and it didn't work. I went to show thread options and I clicked the radio button for classic button and submitted but on the forum it still is horizontal?

That only affects guests and new users, you have to change it in your User CP Options.
