Anything internet-related crashes after closing.

Well, I recently upgraded to Vista Service Pack 2 on my other laptop, but after I did that, my internet started acting up. I use wireless internet and it tells me that it is connected, but when I try to use IE/Firefox or MSN or even attempt to play a game, it tells me that my internet isn't connected. When I diagnose the connection problem, it tells me that there was nothing wrong with it. And after I close IE/Firefox/Game, it always comes up saying that the program has stopped responding etc.

Any thoughts?

EDIT: Also, Every computer in my house works fine except for mine, so I'm doubting its anything to do with the connection.
