Here's a newer application I started working on earlier today. Still more to add to this I want to be able to give off tons more info on the file loaded into the program. Here's just the basics so far...

The design of it's really nice. All it does at the moment is grab basic information of the file, you should make it so it grabs the language that it was coded in like PEiD, that would be awesome. But never-the-less still great, sleek design and powerful idea, well done.

Like PEiD, it wouldn't be difficult, but the way that is done is by analyzing the PE header for specific bytes, and which would also include a database for entries to identify which kind of file you want to return, and the types you want it to be able to scan.
