Installed windows 7 recently and found that utorrent is not working.....

Is it a glitch of windows 7 or a compatibility issue?

P.S.: the same set of programs are used for windows vista home premium a week ago. and it worked!

Really I'm using Utorrent on Windows 7, and is working well.

Just do the following:

Please download Malwarebytes' AntiMalware.

Double click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform Quick Scan, then click Scan.
    The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to restart. Restart if it tells you to.
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy and paste the entire report in your next reply.

Note: You will need to use Internet Explorer for this scan.
  • Tick the box next to Yes, I accept the Terms of Use.
  • Click Start
  • When asked, allow the ActiveX control to install
  • Click Start
  • Make sure that the options Remove found threats and the option Scan unwanted applications is checked
  • Click Scan
    Wait for the scan to finish
  • Use Notepad to open the logfile located at C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt
  • Copy and paste that log as a reply to this topic

Malwarebytes is a good program to use, you should run this weekly, or even daily make sure you keep it upto date too.

i have installed utorrent on win7 and it works great! You might need to download it from the main site! if still dont work then you are infected!
