Hi all,
So I;m having a bit of trouble with my homework.
Question:
Solve the equation and state a reason for each step:
1. x + 5 = 7
2. x - 6 = -3
3. 3x + 4 = 13
4. x + 5 = 2x
5. 2(4x + 2) = 20
6. -(-3x + 2) = 13
So the solving for x part is very simple. I'm juts not sure how to state a reason. Would I just say something like "Addition property of equality?"
Thanks,
Daring
