I came over from HF, and I have to say SF's colors aren't as...utilitarian.

Yeah same here man, i came from HF too and i plan on being active on both sites, im not a big fan of the colors but hey,a good site is a good site

Welcome, really calm community bro, enjoy.
The colors are good imo. Omni tends to find color combinations that aren't overused on the internet, and tries to make his forums unique.
