Reinstall Win7 but keep file system!

Ok so my copy of Win7 Ultimate is doing a lot of stupid crap at the moment and i believe that i need to reinstall. However i have WAY too much data on my PC to do a clean install, and my portable harddrive broke so i cant just back up...What can i do?

You can ask a friend who may have a spare portable hard drive. Or you can try and find an online backup service?

Check out my tutorial over here on how to back up your files. You must have an External HD or a Network with at least 250 GB worth of free space.

I'd Opt with purchasing a new Portable Hard drive if you have the money to spare, what's wrong with your portable Hard Drive at the moment if you don't mind me asking?

If you are really desperate for storage space use CD's and burn your stuff to them.
I know its slow but if you got enough CD's it works.

There's cheap 500gb externals at newegg.com or even at a local staples.

I bought a 1 TB HP SimpleSave on Black Friday last year for $50 Big Grin
I don't splel check.
