I actually don't find it that bad when I had it on my computer. It doesn't use up a lot of RAM or CPU for me. But most people have around 2-4GB of RAM. I have 8GB on a 64bit machine. It hasn't gone into unresponsive mode for me at all. Never had an issue with that or it causing a non-responsive process from using up too much memory or cpu.

Well only the top end computers used to be able to run it fine although I'm not sure if their latest one has been improved.
They really do need to sort that out though.
Plus they're rather expensive.

I would agree that it's one of their biggest downfalls. It's like robbery for the price. But Norton360 2011 has improved quite a bit from any 2008 or 2009 version of Norton in my opinion. N360 2010 was a big improvement as well, and during my upgrade from 2008 I noticed a big improvement with the amount of CPU usage. It's not as much of a memory hog as it used to be, and the CPU amount for Norton 360 2011 was at a maximum of around 10% just from that process on my computer.

On daily use, my computer would be at around 25% CPU usage with everything on, and multiple web browsers open.
