What is the best lightweight screen recording software out there?

Hey SF,

I have a request today. I'm looking for a great lightweight screen recording software. Does anyone know of any? I could really use a good one .

If anyone knows of one, please let me know. I know of quite a few however I'm looking for the most lightweight as I will be running intensive applications while recording, and the PC I'm using to do this won't be the best.

It must preferably be free, or budget cheap.

I have always found Camstudio to be a good capture tool?

Desktop Capture is another one but i dont know if that supports all versions of windows.

I use camtasia video 7, not sure if its light, but less then a gigabyte for sure.

I have used Camtasia as well, it was really good.

A lot of people like using Hypercam though, I've also used it in the past.
