Well its tomorrow 'and they say it never comes...' and I installed the very basic package Binutils and you you what? It works, I tried writing some programs in C/C++ and assembler and my new system compiled them and ran them without a hitch. This LFS might not be so bad...G4143

Things you should know or do:

change root password when you start - so you'll have a password to access root privileges....

Make sure you know how to use lynx - the text web browser that's included in the live CD

Besides these two things - make sure you have plenty of paper to write down the esoteric bash commands/steps

Great are you having fun which live cd did you download link...

Because there are different ones and I am debating.


Also I have a computer that I ran the live CD and I new the cpus architecture but I have another computer I would rather run the liveCD on and work with developing but it has a different architecture how do I find it out?

This is the full CD with source(note 32 bit). Pop it in and it will whirl up...

I'm going to try and get this going via VirtulaBox on my Mandriva box
