New Posts Icon Out Of Wack?

I just posted something in a thread and i come back to the main page and it says there are new posts..but it' MY new posts, so I KNOW that there's a new post there, so why is it telling me this? I noticed this before as well, but it hasn't stopped. here's a screenshot:

I noticed that too, if i just post something it tells me theres new posts in the section and when you go up top and click new posts

I wonder, is it browser based? I'm using FF.

I'm using google chrome, so I guess not...I'm sure the majority of people here use the two anyways so I doubt it's browser based.
