If I see what you are doing I would recommend a quad core. Only if your last name is Gates you should just buy a hex.

I think you should buy a Quad for now, since Hexa CPUs aren't still used.
Wait a bit, save some money and when there will be games/apps optimized for Hexa, go and buy it!

At this point in time, Quad core processors are much better than Hexa core processors. You get much better value for money with Quad cores because some applications and games are designed to support it, whereas the support for Hexa cores is very limited.

A hexcore is really not necessary I would recommend just getting a decent quad core.

I think a hexacore would be more suited for YOUR needs. But I'm not quite sure.

A 4 core CPU is fine if your gaming.
