I wish I could be one of those people.
One of those people who find joy seeing their name on a bottle of soda.
One of those people who believe their future is fine,
solely because of what they read off a 3$ horoscope from Walmart.
One of those people who see smoking and drinking positively,
as if it's the way of living life and having fun.
But I see the toxins in my soda as I sip it.
I know my fate is changing,
with each decision I make using my small shaky hands.
I sense thoughts fade as my lips kiss the pipe,
I hear thoughts drowning in my rum.
I envy your ignorance, your happiness.
I don't know why mine is so hard to find.
We're born alone, we live alone, we die alone.
Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we're not alone
