Ok, so I have a old laptop that I was trying to upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows 7. Everything went fine until after the installation. So when I restarted the laptop the screen is black and will not do anything else. So I reinstalled it again and it did the same thing. So I install Linux & it works but I have to keep the CD in just to make it work. So now what do I do to make it work? Please help me!

There is no Hardware Failure In This Case. If Vista & Linux Are Working Fine Then There Is Obviously No Issue With Hardware.
1. Also You Can Check On BIOS If The Primary Boot Device Is Set To HDD Or Not. That Might Be An Issue Also..

I think this is a Software and Hardware problem. As per me, you should go with Computer technical experts like Geek Squad, Click4Support, etc.
