How do you copy real data to virtual hdd?
#1
I am using windows xp on a windows 7 host via virtual box and I was wondering if there is a way to copy data from a real hard drive onto the virtual one. I want to access data stored on my computer from the virtual machine.

I searched around and I was unable to locate some real finite instruction.

For now I just decided to compress the files that I need in the virtual machine as iso files and then I load the files as a cd. It is not the fastes way but it works. If there is any way to do it faster that would be great.

Just drag and drop the files from vmware to real drive. This should do it.
