My dad got a new computer, and says I can mess with the older crappy computer. Its a Dell Inpiron 531 I believe running on a AMD x2. My question is , can I replace the AMD x2 with a AMD x4 quad core. Might seem like a nub question, but its my first time doing this such thing without knowing for sure if it will work.
Thanks.

Your going to have a bios update. Then you cant use any of the x4 processors over 95w it won't work

I don't know why you'd bother, Duo core ftw.
