Exploring the benefits of virtual reality
The latest from Meta looks pretty interesting. I think it’s also very useful for learning in a simulation context as well.

Will we ever get to Mars?
flower12 I asked AI, and got a cautious but hopeful answer. In my lifetime hopefully which would be astonishing! Humans will likely reach Mars, with growing momentum from both government space agencies and private companies like SpaceX. Technological progress, such as reusable rockets and advanced life support systems, makes a crewed mission increasingly feasible. However, major challenges remain, including radiation exposure, psychological and physical health during long missions, and the need for sustainable life support. While an optimistic timeline points to the late 2030s, a more realistic estimate places the first human landing on Mars in the 2040s or 2050s

The beyond meat range is really nice, but I still find at most restaurants it’s tricky. For example 2-3 vegetarian or vegan options and if you also don’t like a key ingredient such as mushrooms or something then you’re really stuck.

SupportForums.net relaunches June 2025.
Welcome to visitors old and new. Over the last month I have been working to get the site online and I’m glad to say that it’s mostly there now. The original Support Forums was at one time incredibly active, but over the last 10 years sadly declined as activity dwindled and the the original developer stepped away leaving the site untouched for much of the last decade. As a member of the original community, and as someone who spent some of their formative years on the original forum - I am proud to be relaunching the community. Being totally honest I don’t really know what I’m doing when it comes to trying to build or indeed rebuild a forum from scratch. But this is a passion project for me personally, and one that I will consider a success if we manage to get even just a handful of dedicated members. I think our mission “Making things easier one post at a time” is a worthwhile one, especially considering the state of the world as it is today. I’m excited to be launching the website and welcome all suggestions, ideas and feedback. Please register if you haven’t already and please consider inviting other members.

How best to start being more active?
For me, as someone who lost a lot of weight it was starting that was the hardest thing. But the first real sign of progress, whether visually or on the scales was what motivated me beyond the traditional giving up point. The easiest thing to do though is just move more, eat less consistently over time and build confidence in your journey.

personal budgeting tool recommendations
I really don’t like YNAB, and ideally don’t want to be paying a lot either for a budgeting tool either. Ideally a solution that connects with my bank and cards etc, any suggestions and/or recommendations?
