2 browsers open - fgffgf - 06-05-2007

When I click on a hyperlink in Eudora, Firefox (my default browser) opens, but also IE opens. The IE window does not show the URL from the hyperlink, but rather "about:blank". A big nuisance.

I'm using most recent versions of XP, Firefox and Eudora.

Any suggestions on troubleshooting?

I'd try to doublecheck whether firefox, or IE is your default browser, and change it accordingly.

Ripe IE off your hard drive; it's of the Devil!

I often have two browsers open, OmniWeb as my default and
GranParadiso or Minefield as my what can I make this thing do browser.
OmniWeb is the only browser I ever payed for and the only one I keep
going back to, Otherwise I have used just about every browser the OS can
handle. I very excited about FF3 as it may be the perfect browser.

I don't think you want to remove IE, cause if you do, probably alot of things won't work right.

I've never had this happen to me, mine always opened in Firefox.

Removing the workings of little blue will reek havoc on your system.

Lots of stuff are run by IE. Can't name them off the top of my head though. (I read it in an article once) Like Outlook Express, etc.

BTW, welcome back Jougukny! Big Grin

Go into Firefox's Options and make sure it is set to be your default browser.

Then go into IE's Options and make sure it isn't set as your default. Smile
