Strange home page layout - atce - 05-31-2007

Can someone explain what is happening here? I have uninstalled/re-installed Firefox and am running the latest version (2.0.0.4) but still I get this problem. Also when loading various other web pages some of the pictures are missing. All appears OK on IE7 so I'm a bit stuck!

It only does that for me when my internet connection isn't good.

What extensions do you have?

The only extension I have is the GetMail button on the toolbar but that is on my original profile only. I have done nothing to the new profile I created and that too is displaying various pages incorrectly so I can't explain it at all
EDIT >>> today it seems to be working ok, pages are loading correctly. However this has happened previously and just when I thought all was well it would start playing up again. Very frustrating!
