Firefox 2.0 for Linux - Dr Small - 11-27-2006

For Linux users, download Firefox 2.0 from the link below.

http://www.mozilla.com/products/download.html?product=firefox-2.0&os=linux&lang=en-US

Tip: If you want an older version of firefox, just edit the address, and place the version number in, where 2.0 is.

RE: Firefox 2.0 for Linux - FirefoxWiz - 11-28-2006

Ubuntu repos??

RE: Firefox 2.0 for Linux - Mint_mybb_import3274 - 11-28-2006

Repo is short for repository.
a repository in this sense is a place on the internet storing massive amounts of software.

RE: Firefox 2.0 for Linux - FirefoxWiz - 12-05-2006

So does that mean it auto installs to your computer and you don't have to download it or what?? :S

RE: Firefox 2.0 for Linux - Dr Small - 12-05-2006

It downloads it to your computer, and installs it, but you don't have to compile it, with:

cd folderhere
$ ./configure

All you have to do is run:
sudo apt-get install firefox

and it checks and sees if you have it, if not, you can download it and install it.

To upgrade the Firefox 1.5.0.8 on Ubuntu, simple download the attachment and run it in the terminal.

It will upgrade Firefox to the latest version.
