2 Huge FTP Gold Mine's of Linux OS's - Eugene - 07-10-2010
Hey everybody I found this very interesting ftp maybe some knew about but I sure didn't it belongs to the Russians main search engine like Google to us they have a freakin huge ftp filled with Linux OS's and all other software I was amazed. Anyways here is the link

I'm not sure why anyone would want to use a Russian mirror (barring those that live in Russia). All of the packages listed on the FTP are easily found on their official sites. Not only are you guaranteed to be downloading the most up-to-date package from the official site but most offer a variety of mirrors. It's almost certain those mirrors will be closer to you than Russia.

why not just visit distrowatch if you want a linux distro.
software you can get that just about anywhere. legal or not.
